Technically, the Apollo 11-themed illustration spells out “google” with moon craters, but it’s unreadable at small sizes. So the word “Google” really doesn’t appear anywhere above the fold on the search results page today. The first “Google” one sees is in the pagination, and then it comes up a few times in the footer.

It doesn’t really matter; Google has such a lock on what amounts to slightly stylized page defaults that I occasionally run across unstyled pages and think they’re Google search results.
