[ Screenshot from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty ]
I was searching around for screenshots of “Sleeping Beauty” and “Cinderella” a while ago, and found the internet oddly unhelpful. So here’s some relatively high-quality screenshots from my remastered DVD (taken on my 24” screen; you’ll notice they’re a bit fuzzy, but that’s what I got). I’m curious to see whether they’ll be removed from Flickr—there areĀ only 63 search results for “disney screenshots” on Flickr right now. I hope not. I’m not sure where else one could find these screenshots. Disney has no such resources, so far as I can find.
Update: an interesting bit of trivia from IMBD about the movie’s art direction: “For the first time on a Disney animated feature, one man was in charge of the color styling, background design, and the overall look of the film. Eyvind Earle’s modernistic approach to design and painting resulted provided this film a bold, unique art style, even though Earle’s colleagues did not care for his production methods and art style while the film was in production.”
